My journey in Form 6- 6. Sem 3 Goodbye

As soon as the end of Semester two, I readjusted myself to face the toughest one left. At that moment, there was 94 Upper Six students left, compared to the 120 during the Orientation Week. In other words, 26 students or 21.67% of the total choose to quit the "game", feel shocked? Me too. After surviving for two semesters, I felt to be proud of myself, my perseverance and effort that motivated all  these time. My goal was clear at that semester, I was going to "crush" all the subjects!

Not just self-boasting, i knew that I had to take some proactive measures in order to score 4 flats. After missing the chances twice, I changed my study method to a more all-rounded one, which was focusing all the subjects without leaving one. In Sem 1, my overlook on General Papers costed me the grades, so in Sem 2, Physics became the victim. The lessons were enough and I never want to experience it again!

Luckily, the syllabus was not so difficult this semester for me. In Sem 3, Maths T and Chemistry were not hard if given enough effort to memorize it, plus these two were my favourite subjects in Form 6. If you was curious why I changed my attitude towards Chemistry, well, I fell in love with this subject after being tutored by my tuition teacher Pn. Chua and school teacher Pn. Habsah. I  can say that I learnt the ropes on Chemistry and never fail to score A in last two sems, thanks to these two legends catered me their knowledge with great patience. In the other hand, Physics and General Papers were as usual, not easy to score them. Only this semester, i tried the Local Publication reference book for General Paper, well known as LP book. The essays examples were instructive and useful, while the notes were very complete and understandable. It was the recommendation from school teacher and seniors, and I regretted for not listening my teacher's  advice in Sem 1 to buy it.

The most memorable part of this semester was completing coursework for Chemistry. Together with my beloved groupmates, from designing the methodology till the presentation, we strived hard together and no one in our team was "free rider". The title was investigating the biodegradable plastic, about its properties and ways to upgrade its quality. The process of creating was not smooth, we did produce a smelly one, a sticky one, a stiff one, until we got the perfect one(Not joking but the smelly one is really disgusting, yuck!). I enjoyed the path of doing the coursework simply because I felt like I was somehow talented in doing chemical engineering after producing a little piece of plastic, hilarious right?

Semester three also meant that we were reaching the end phase of Form 6. Graduation was just around the corner but we had no time to enjoy it. Most of us now was studying extra hard compared to previous semesters as we had to sit for retake papers too. I knew it was the crucial moment and to pay concentration on study, I stopped my co-curriculum activities and cut off gathering/ outing with friends. At the moment, stress was enormous and worries grew day by day. " What if I fail again this time? I already failed twice and this is my last chance!"As a result, my body was thin that time, even my teacher worried and asked me to relax. But deep inside I knew, I wouldn't be relax if I didn't finish all the revision and problem solving enough.

Graduation day took place a fortnight before the final. The day symbolized the end of my days in Form 6, and I really had to say Goodbye to my high school this time. Wearing the graduation gown for the second time, I enjoyed this special day very much. The feeling was different with the first time which I was sad to leave my high school buddies, it was a happy and exciting this time. Why? Because I will be receiving the Best Subjects Awards in the ceremony! With my excellent performance in all the trial exams, I turned out to be the achiever for General Paper, Chemistry and MUET, the biggest winner on the day! Ya, not lying but I scored well for General Paper in school rather than the real one, quite funny right? I shared the glorious moment with my beloved mom, together with my lovely classmates. At the end of the event, I was able to express my gratitude to all my subjects teachers. Thanks for their professionalism and willing to guide me throughout the journey, without them, I couldn't achieve such great height today.

(I am there!)
Time passes mercilessly, but the memories with my classmates will stay forever..

The graduation was not the end yet, I still have final papers to face in November. 6 papers were nothing compared to other peers who sit for 8 or even 12 papers together. However, my aim was to score A in all these papers, that's the real challenge!
